School Outreach - Leadership Workshops
Request A School Visit By The MentorMe Australia Team.
MentorMe Australia provides school outreach services to high schools across Australia. We can visit your high school to provide a half hour or 1 hour workshop on mentoring, leadership or career planning. Our speakers are passionate about the power of mentoring and are current university students from a variety of Universities across the nation.
Via interactive activities we encourage students to develop three key sets of skills: communication skills, the ability to be resilient and networking skills.
MentorMe Australia high school visits are designed to inspire students to consider a range of possible career options and to pursue their passion, whatever that may be,
At the conclusion of MentorMe Australia high school visits, we encourage year 11 and year 12 school students to sign up directly into the MentorMe Australia mentoring program. This provides the opportunity for students to connect with a university level mentor.
"MentorMe Australia attended the 2016 year 10 Leadership Program at Winmalee High School (NSW). Their program was an excellent fit into the life- long learning we hope to impart with our year 10 students.
The students enjoyed themselves immensely. MentorMe Australia's presentation included engaging and fun activities that were hands on, and relevant to their age group. You captured their attention and set challenges that pushed them from their comfort zone into success with a smile and a sense of humour.
Both presenters had excellent presentation skills, energy and patience - all required when speaking with year 10 students. You have a seamless way of integrating personal experience, relevant content and the use of video clips into an hour of learning.
The topics covered were key and important messages, ones that are reinforced at Winmalee High School. It is fantastic that such a program is available to schools, a program that can speak directly to the students and present messages of communication, resilience and mentorship. Your follow up opportunities set your program apart from many that just talk to students.
This is a program I would happily recommend to other schools, I hope with all sincerity that your team continue with the program and I look forward to next year when we can welcome you back into Winmalee High School."
